So, we worked for a food company and our job was to develop, source, package and sell continental foods to the supermarkets. It was a very good job, but we couldn’t help noticing that there were a lot of really good and interesting foods that weren’t reaching the shelves because supermarkets can’t do everything and sometimes they aren’t ready to try new things. We needed a brand of our own to bring these foods to the UK.
unearthed was born. In Waitrose. In the Autumn of 2008. Since then it has grown really quickly and you can check out our latest list of products here.
The name unearthed represents the spirit of discovery which drives us in our work and the sense of excitement that we feel when we discover something. Essentially we are greedy and curious!
