Hi it’s ‘SpecialFooodAnni at http://www.specialdietsdirectory.co.uk -thanks for your direct message on Twitter – for some reason you don’t appear on the recipient list so sorry for replying here but couldn’t find another way! Would be great to talk to you! Here is the link to the Egyptian dip and the other flavours which we promote for a good friend and business colleague. They really are great products and a personal fave with my family. Are you interested in putting your competition up on our site? Not sure which products are suitable for other special diets but your Organic range would certainly interest our members/visitors?!

You DM’d me on Twitter to ask whether I’ve tried your products, and whether I’d like some samples.

The answer to the first question is no; the answer to the second is I’d be happy to do so. Please let me have more details.

Many thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Helen – we’ll be in touch directly on samples. I’ve enjoyed your blog (http://aforkfulofspaghetti.blogspot.com/ for other readers who want to check it out) for a while now. Noticed this month that you mentioned the ‘Simon Seeks’ guides – with two Simons (Suitcase Simon and Discovery Day) on the team here we’re a little put-out to find that there is another one!

Hi there, I absolutely love your Greek barrel aged Feta, but as I am pregnant need to know if it is pasturized. Have had a good look on the label and can’t find any mention. if you could let me know asap that would be great. Thanks very much.

Comment by Yolandi

Hi Yolandi and thanks for your question. It is one we have had from a few customers so we have now added the answer to the Feta product page (under ‘Our Products’). The milk is pasteurised. Enjoy your feta!

What happened to your packs of plain olives? These were available in Waitrose until a few months ago, but now I’m told they are no longer available. Olives stuffed with almonds, garlic, anchovy, pimento, suffused with olive oil, chilli, basil, sun-dried tomatoes and cheese are everywhere. Just plain olives with their own flavour made a refreshing change, but it seems I will have to visit Nice for olive noir au natural!

Hi Helen. Very eagle-eyed of you – our ‘Greek Olive Selection’ was a limited run from a small island estate. You are right to note that the trend at the moment is towards mixes, selections and stuffings – to be honest they are generally more popular. However, I’m sure we will bring out another ‘back to basics’ olive before long, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, any excuse to visit Nice!

“Spanish Potato Omelette” why not free ranged egg? it places could have been a cool quick snack, but now its got that Rustlers ping burger feel to it.

Comment by patrick spenceley

Hi Patrick. I think Rustlers burger is a bit harsh (sorry Rustlers) but you make a good point. We are on the same wavelength because we are working really hard to guarantee 100% free range eggs for this omelette. Not always as easy as we’d like it to be, but watch this space – I hope to have some news really soon…

Don’t get me wrong I still ate it was great, it just means that I cant take it home with me…..
