Hot Chilli Olives are the latest product to be added to the unearthed range.
Our HOT Chilli olives are now available in Waitrose stores, priced at £2.95. They are green olives stuffed with hot red chillies and we reckon they are one of the hottest things you’ll find in any supermarket. Be adventurous and give them a go!
Some little Chilli facts for the heat-loving amongst you:
According to the Guinness book of records, the Bhut Jolokia of Assam is the world’s hottest chilli pepper, with an official Scoville rating of 1,001,304 , nearly doubling the heat of the previous record holder, the Red Savina with a rating of just 577,000. 25 year old Anandita Dutta Tamuly of Assam holds the record for eating these chilies, consuming a mouth-blistering 60 Bhut Jolokia in just 2 minutes!- Big Jim, a chilli hailing from New Mexico, is in the Guinness Book of Records as producing the biggest chilli pods, frequently producing chillies over a foot in length – quite impressive for plant that grows no more than 2 foot tall!
Let us know just how hot you think our hot chilli olives are, and give us a rating from ice-cool to supernova! We’d also like to hear your suggestions for putting the flames out afterwards…?
